I'm sure you know this feature of MSIE that most users like: when the browser renders an image/* object and if the size of the image is greater than the viewport's, the image is resized and a special handle appears to make it get its original size. Tristan wonders if XHTML is really needed and gives a positive argument taken from someone else. But in fact, that article only says that Alta-Vista needs a correct XMLization of HTML. It's not antithetic with the fact that XHTML 2.0 is a bad document model, having nothing really interesting when compared to HTML 4.01. The only good points about XHTML 2.0 are the XMLization and the removal of presentational elements. That can be done in a much better document model than XHTML 2.0.
