Famous last words
Hmmm... I remember using that song too under same circumstances ages ago.

The more I read about XHTML 2.0, the more scared I am. XHTML 2.0 is a drastic XML-ization of the ol'n'dirty HTML 4 spec, after the intermediate state of XHTML 1.0.
Not only it cleans up the language getting rid of elements that were considered "presentational" (please read this word making a very strong grimace, and if you pronounce it, wash your mouth with soap immediately after - I said soap, not SOAP), but it also rephrases the spec in a much more technical manner. Specifications from the XML world are just unreadable. Only a few dozens of crazy geeks around the world are really able to call that "the definition of a language".
Most of the people agree that the Web was a success partly because of:
With XHTML 2.0, (1) is forgotten, (2) forms are not in html any more but in XForms; oh and XForms are not simple (3) for Zeus's sake, that's in the protocol not in the markup language...

48,000,000 $
The General Guey, supposed to be the leader of the coup shaking Ivory Coast these days, was killed by loyalist troops a few days ago. I have received today my first "nigerian" spam saying "I am a relative of the late Général Guey from Ivory Coast" and bla-bla-bla lot-of-money bla-bla-bla no-risk but please confidential bla-bla-bla.
I think I am going some day to forge a temp email address and answer that I am a relative to the late Bokassa, the famous cannibale from Center Africa. Just for fun.

User Interface
We really have a problem with UI in Mozilla. Last week was checked in into the trunk a fix removing the sidebar from the mail/news client. But there are already some user feedback complaining about that. I don't know who is right and what are the reasons behind this removal but I think really weird that there is not the beginning of the first line of an explanation noted in the bug. Do we have a problem with the whole mail/news client or what?

Not much today. Finished my action items from CSS Working Group's meeting and updated my page.
